On May 22, 2007, The Today Show featured a segment on anti-aging with dermatologist, Jeanine Downie. Here’s what she had to say about VIVITÉ®...

Dr. Downie: “There is a great new line out called VIVITÉ®. It exfoliates, hydrates and protects with a high amount of glycolic acid.”

Today Show: “What’s in it?”

Dr. Downie: “Antioxidants…these are things that help to fight free radical damage in terms of pollution and stress and the ozone depletion from the environment. They (VIVITÉ® products) exfoliate, hydrate and protect. This is a great new line. It's kind of a four-in-one system with the cleanser, with the day cream and night cream and an eye cream.”

Viva VIVITÉ®. Patients have a new cosmeceutical system to consider with Allergan's recent launch of VIVITÉ®, an anti-aging skin care line containing the proprietary GLX Technology. Combining glycolic acid with antioxidants, GLX Technology renews the skin and enhances its natural production of hyaluronic acid and stimulates epidermal growth factor and collagen, according to the company. In a recent clinical study involving 22 female patients with mild to moderate photodamage, researchers found that after three weeks of VIVITÉ® use, there was a 22 percent reduction in fine lines and wrinkles, a 36 percent increase in skin moisture, and a 65 percent reduction of skin dryness.
